Beach Resorts Makkum is a spacious vacation park with several private beaches and located directly at the IJsselmeer. It is the ideal base for a wonderful beach day or beach walk. It is also a popular spot for surfers, water sports and sailing enthusiasts. This makes Makkum an ideal water sports vacation for both beginners and experts.

Windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, canoeing, kitesurfing, fishing, or sailing with your boat or sloop: Beach Resorts Makkum will make your water sports vacation unforgettable.

Are you a beginner surfer or do not own your own equipment? That's no problem at all. In the immediate vicinity of Beach Resorts Makkum you will find several surf schools and water sports stores. They sell and rent various water sports equipment. This includes renting sailboats, catamarans or a fine sloop.

Fishing

Fishing from your vacation home? Our vacation homes are located right on the fishing water. The inland waterways of the park are connected directly with the IJsselmeer.

In Friesland, fishing on private property is allowed without a Dutch fishing pass; if you want to fish in the Dutch inland waterways outside our park, you must be in possession of a Dutch fishing pass. You can order this fishing pass online or at Idzenga Hengelsport in Makkum. At Idzenga Hengelsport in Makkum, the costs for a week pass are €10. In case you want an annual license, the costs are €36. The fishing pass is valid in all of Friesland.
